On March 16, in collaboration with Charlotte Cardin, we donated 47 musical instruments for a total of more than $25,000 to Des Pionniers High School. The popular singer made the announcement in a special video addressed to the students of the new pop concentration:
"I played three concerts at the COGECO amphitheater last summer, and what you may not know is that during those shows, there was $1 per ticket sold that was going to be donated to the evenko foundation and then reinvested in your school, so it is with great pride and joy that I introduce your new instruments."
The curtains of the auditorium were then drawn, revealing a brand-new fleet of instruments consisting of acoustic guitars, keyboards, microphones and a drum set.
The students were ecstatic to see their new instruments. They used them for the first time to play the song Faufile, one of Charlotte’s biggest hits. A nice tribute!
“We are so happy to support the school in its new pop music program and to assure the longevity of it with good instruments”, says Nathalie Roberge, director of the evenko foundation.
