The evenko foundation and Gab Bouchard offer musical instruments to the Mgr-Victor school in Mtabetchouan-Lac-à-la-Croix!  

 

On March 15th, the students and teachers of the Mgr-Victor elementary school were visited by the evenko foundation and the author, composer and performer Gab Bouchard as part of a donation of instruments worth over $20,000!  

 

Among the instruments donated were small tambourines, djembes, guitars, ukuleles and an electronic drum set!  

 

The goal of the donation was to refresh and, more importantly, fill the fleet of instruments to allow all students to achieve, socialize and develop essential skills through music.  

 

In fact, some of the instruments were requested specifically for the kindergarten 4- and 5-year-old classes so that these young students can benefit from the advantages of musical awakening while the second portion will be used for the grades 1 to 6 classes.  

 

All of the money for this donation was raised during Gab Bouchard's fall tour for the evenko foundation!  

 

This project was a collaboration with Bell Media and the evenko programming department.  

 

"I am extremely proud to be able to give back to my community, to a school in my hometown and to contribute to the musical education of all these little human beings! I know the music teacher at this school well, and he confirmed their great need for instruments, so it was an easy choice of school to make! Maybe some of the students will discover a passion for music and will want to make a career out of it later on, just like me!
