The evenko foundation donates musical instruments to Paul-Germain-Ostiguy High School in Saint-Césaire with special guest Fuso!

$45,500 IN MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS DONATED BY THE EVENKO FOUNDATION!

This is a major contribution to the music program at Paul-Germain-Ostiguy High School in Saint-Césaire! The school received $45,500 worth of musical instruments, which will allow young musicians to continue their learning in optimal conditions.

Paul-Germain-Ostiguy High School welcomes approximately 800 students from all secondary levels, coming from five different municipalities — and that number has been growing in recent years. With nearly 200 students involved in the music program, ensuring access to quality instruments for all is a real challenge, especially considering budget constraints and the need to share resources. The evenko foundation’s donation allows the school to acquire 45 new musical instruments, including:

  • 30 Enya concert ukuleles

  • 1 Yamaha flute

  • 4 Yamaha Bb clarinets

  • 3 Yamaha alto saxophones

  • 2 Yamaha Bb trumpets

  • 2 Yamaha trombones

  • 1 Yamaha baritone saxophone

  • 1 Yamaha euphonium

  • 1 Yamaha Bb tuba

This donation will give students access to new, high-quality instruments — some of which were not previously available in the school's concert band ensembles. It also reflects the evenko foundation’s commitment to student success and to the long-term sustainability of music education at Paul-Germain-Ostiguy.

The donation reveal event, hosted by Roman Oryschuk, Bord of chair of the foundation, and accompanied by Fuso, the foundation’s guest artist, took place in the school's public hall (Place Publique) in front of 175 music students from all grade levels. Fuso took the opportunity to perform a short set, speak with students about the benefits of music education, and answer many of their questions.

Mme Valérie’s music students had rehearsed Fuso’s song "Love" on their ukuleles prior to the event — without knowing that the artist himself would be present for the reveal. It was a wonderful surprise for them, and they were thrilled to join Fuso in performing the song together.

The donation of instruments, the heart of the people who made this day happen, the students’ warm welcome, and the amazing team filled me with gratitude. It’s heartwarming to know that all these young people will be able to grow musically with such beautiful, high-quality instruments. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the evenko foundation.”
– Fuso, guest artist

“This donation will enrich the sound of our ensembles and give many students the chance to play on amazing-quality instruments. Our students are excited and motivated for what’s to come.
Thank you, evenko foundation!”
