The evenko foundation, whose mission is to give all young people in Québec the means to thrive through music, announces the arrival of Marie-Pier Therrien as Executive Director and the appointment of two new board members.

New executive leadership takes the helm

As a multidisciplinary leader with 15 years of experience in communications, marketing and organizational development across a variety of organizations, Marie-Pier Therrien took over as Executive Director of the evenko foundation this past September. Most recently, she served as Vice-President, Communications and Human Resources at the Old Brewery Mission, a major Montréal community organization supporting people experiencing homelessness.

“My career has taught me how to rally people around a cause. The evenko foundation’s mission is especially meaningful to me. For a young person, playing a musical instrument can be a source of motivation, a way to overcome isolation, and an opportunity to find a sense of belonging. I am proud to put my experience to work in support of this mission so that all young people in Québec can thrive through music.” – Marie-Pier Therrien, Executive Director, evenko foundation

The evenko foundation expresses its gratitude to Liette Lamonde, who served as Interim Executive Director over the past year. Her leadership and dedication helped the foundation maintain its momentum and remain focused on its mission.

Two new voices on the board of directors

The board of directors also welcomes Melissa Giampaolo, Vice President, Commercialization and Festival Management at evenko, and Sabrina Cousineau, Senior Director, Resource Planning and Development for Radio-Canada’s Productions sector.

“For several years, I have had the privilege of closely following the evenko foundation’s activities and seeing firsthand the tangible impact that music can have on young people’s lives. I am therefore very enthusiastic about joining its board of directors. I am delighted to contribute my experience and become more involved in a cause that is particularly close to my heart.” – Melissa Giampaolo, Vice President, Commercialization and Festival Management, evenko

“Having spent most of my career in the music industry, I firmly believe in the essential role music plays in helping young people thrive. It is a great privilege to join the evenko foundation and contribute my governance expertise in support of a mission that is particularly close to my heart.” – Sabrina Cousineau, Senior Director, Resource Planning and Development for Radio-Canada’s Productions sector
